Be sure to head over and check out the new layout for the Scarefest page.  While you’re there, stop by the ticket section and grab some passes.  Some pretty nice updates are going on at the Scarefest page.  So many new things to run your ever horror hungry eyes over.

It also looks like a Ms. Scarefest competition is going to be held in 2010, so keep your eyes open for more news on that.

To add to an ever growing and continually impressive lineup for Scarefest guests this year, John Amplas is on hand for 2010.  One of John’s most memorable roles is the title character in George Romero’s Martin.  You can also find him in Day of the Dead, Creepshow and Knightriders.

If you haven’t ordered your Scarefest tickets yet, you can do so HERE.  You don’t want to miss out!

With the announcement of John Amplas, the guest list looks somewhat primed for a Romero reunion of sorts.  Can’t wait to see who is next for this massive event.

The ever lovable Bub the zombie from Day of the Dead is set to hit Scarefest this November.  No one can forget our glimpse into where Romero wanted to take zombies in the future with his depiction of Bub.  Howard Sherman offered up one of the most unforgettable characters in the world of horror.  Sherman didn’t just leave the genre altogether after that performance though.  You can also find him in a Tales From the Darkside episode and an installment in the Freddy’s Nightmares series (among an endless resume of work).

This is definitely a table not to be missed when Scarefest rolls around this year.  The guest list is already hitting impressive marks.

Make sure to order early.  You can get your Scarefest tickets HERE

Every Halloween season I have a tradition. I watch a few flicks from the Halloween series, and I do my best to whip through the Night of the Demons Trilogy.  In fact, I did a rather extensive write up about each film in the trilogy HERE back in March of 2009.  With that said, I am rather excited to announce the latest horror celeb to sign on to appear at the 2010 Scare Fest Convention in Lexington KY! Lead Demon Angela herself, Amelia Kincaid, will appear at the event in November 5,6 and 7 at the Lexington Center!

Amelia joins great company in the already signed George Romero, Adrienne Barbeau and Tom Atkins! If you haven’t gotten your tickets, be sure to get them by clicking HERE!

The 2010 Scare Fest guest announcements have kicked off with a bang! Scare Fest is proud to announce the first three guest slated to appear at the convention in Lexington, KY, November 5th,6th & 7th! It couldn’t have kicked off with a stronger trifecta of guests!

Scare Fest is proud to announce that legendary director and zombie icon George Romero will be on hand for the 2010 event! Do I really have to put this guys rap sheet up? If you aren’t familiar with the man who more or less defined the zombie genre, you probably have no business at Scare Fest in the first place!

It doesn’t just stop with Romero! Also signed, sealed and delivered are  Adrienne Barbeau, and Tom Atkins!  Barbeau’s credits include The Fog, Escape from New York, Swamp Thing, and Creepshow. Atkins, always a fan favorite, has appeared in numerous genre efforts such as The Fog,  Creepshow, Night of the Creeps, Halloween III, and recently My Bloody Valentine 3D.

Step right up! It’s that time of the year again. Tickets have officially gone on sale for the 2010 Scare Fest Horror & Paranormal Convention. As always, the event takes place in the same location, the Lexington Center in downtown Lexington, KY. As previously announced, the dates have changed due to a scheduling conflict with the Equestrian Games in Lexington. This year, The Scare Fest will take place November 5, 6, & 7.

Guests are VERY close to being announced, and let me drop a foreshadowing…You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Expect the 2010 incarnation of The Scare Fest to top the previous years. I know that’s hard to believe, but hang onto your seats!

Ok ok! Get on with the ticket info right? Riiiiiggghht!

What does it take to be considered a Horror Film “Super fan”? A Horror film superfan has the ability to take their love for the genre and go above and beyond the call of duty to show just exactly how much they love these films. A Horror Superfan stretches their neck a little further, so much to the point of where they become much more than an avid “watcher of film”. They flat out become INVOLVED. Whether it be massive collections or the heart to be noticed with success, a Horror Superfan is something most horror fans either strive for, or secretly wish they could be. Those who have stepped out of the shadows and full accepted their role as a superfan have now fallen under the radar of Benevolent Street, and today, we bring your our first Horror Film Superfan…none other than Jeff Cochran. Known simply as Wickedbeard.
