If you happen to be a fan of horror related art work, you’ll want to be familiar with the art work of Robert Scott (aka ScottRa). The guy truly knows his way around a paintbrush. His paintings typically have a very eerie looking black and white tone to them. They almost all look like pencil drawings which is very neat.
Robert Scott grew up with a huge fondness of the genre which he credits in part to the show “Sir Graves Ghastly”, a Detroit based show that aired on Saturday afternoons featuring classic monsters such as Frankenstein and Dracula. After moving onto more modern horror magazines, Scott becamse infatuated with the FX legends Rick Baker and Tom Savini, ultimately leading to a newfound love within the genre; The slasher film!
Robert Scott used his love to the genre to channel his talents with the paintbrush and has quickly made a name for himself in the horror art market. You may very well have caught some of his work on the convention circuit. If not, then keep your eyes peeled and check it out! If you’re interested in grabbing some of these prints as well as other products featuring Scott’s art, or even reading customer testimonies, you can do so by checking out his official website at http://www.scottra.com.
It’s safe to say that if you’re looking for artwork of a favorite horror icon, regardless of the subgenre, odds are Robert Scott has a print that you’ll dig.

My Goodness! Some of that stuff is unbelievable!
Wow, those are amazing.
I’ve seen these before on DeviantART. This guy is amazing!
Some of these are really great. I like the one of Loomis and the whole red-only work of Jigsaw which I can’t help but think of Sin City when I see stuff in B&W with just red added.
I got to looking around on the guy’s site and noticed under the misc category he had a really awesome painting of H.P. Lovecraft. I have automatic love for anything involving Lovecraft.
Also, I had to laugh, there’s a bit of irony covering this today. When you go to the guy’s site there’s a pop up page asking you to go vote for a friend of his that’s a finalist in a writing contest Rue Morgue is holding.
Such a great artist.
LOL @ Dustin\’s last sentence! I just saw that too
I\’m seriously thinking about ordering that Loomis print.
These are some amazing prints. I’m particularly impressed with the Bruce Campbell and the one of Christopher Lee from his site.
Hey all, thanks for the nice comments! I really appreciate it!
Sorry about that pop up. I had that up for Jan. to help my friend out.
I have a few new pieces that should be finished soon, so stay tuned…
I’m hoping to be at Horror Houndy Indy at the end of March, if you go be sure to stop by and say hi!

I can’t wait to see what else your cooking up Rob!
Just realized that Robert Scott is also the name of the man that directed The Video Dead.
Unfortunately I can’t claim responsibility for The Video Dead!
That means there are two different kick-ass Robert Scott’s out there.
