We finally have some great news regarding the Alien franchise coming to Blu-Ray. According to an official ad obtained at the High Def Digest Forum, The Alien Anthology will be making its Blu-ray debut around Christmas time this year from Fox Home Entertainment! On the ad it shows us there will be new 1080p HD transfers, 7.1 Surround Sound, Trivia Tracks and BD-Live Content.
Also, after I found this information, I have been reading that both AvP movies could be included as well. That might sting a few people, but it all depends on what they’re charging for the set. We’ll have to see, but I hope there is more news about this coming soon!

You had me til “AVP”.
I can only imagine “Aliens” will look amazing on Blu Ray. That movie was well ahead of it’s time.
Aliens for me is must on Blu because I only own the original release of the the film on DVD and there was no 5.1 track, only the 2.0 mono. I didn’t cave in and by the Quadrilogy that was released years later. So yea, this on Blu is awesome news.
